Espn plus

ESPN+

History

Sports lovers cutting the cord rejoice, ESPN+ is a streaming subscription service brought to you by Walt Disney in partnership with ESPN Inc, and Hearst Communications. It’s one of three subscription streaming brands in the U.S. in addition to Disney+ and Hulu.

Content

ESPN+ isn’t technically a separate platform from ESPN but acts as a complement to all of ESPN’s programming. It’s got live games, exclusive on-demand video, and access into what used to be known as ESPN Insider. Users can rejoice in a world of exclusive content that includes live games and on-demand shows. ESPN+ also has access to exclusive content you can’t find elsewhere. If you’re hoping it’s commercial-free, we hate to disappoint but there are commercials for live events.

Sports fans can enjoy live games from the MLB, NHL, MLS, PGA golf, UFS, college football, international soccer, and tennis. Unfortunately, there are no live NFL or NBA games. If you’re into UFC or boxing, you can get offers for exclusive PPV matches so you’ll never miss a moment of your favorite sports.

If you’re interested in original content, you’re in luck. You can watch original shows and documentaries, like ESPN’s popular “30 for 30,” The Boardroom with KD, Peyton’s Places with Peyton Manning, Ariel & The Bad Guy with Ariel Helwani, in addition to a library of historic NFL games. If you’re an avid Fantasy Football player, you will get access to Lineup Optimizer, Free Agent Recommendations, Auction Value Generator, and The Fantasy Show. ESPN+ subscribers are also granted access to additional articles not available without a subscription.

Pricing

You can buy ESPN+ one of two ways, you can either do a monthly subscription for $4.99 per month, or an annual subscription for $49.99 a year, which saves you about $10 less than going month to month. If you’ve got Disney+, there’s a bundling option to get ESPN+, Disney+ and basic Hulu for just $12.99 a month.

Features

One of the really cool features ESPN+ offers is the ability to watch your favorite sports content wherever you want, as long as you have the ESPN app. Whether you’re at home or on the go, your sports content is always where you are. You can also pause, rewind and download for later! And if you’re trying to watch multiple games at once, ESPN+ lets you stream from three screens simultaneously.

With ESPN+, you’ll also have access to exclusive content written by your favorite sportswriters, such as top writers including Eric Karabell, Mel Kiper Jr., and Buster Olney.

Capable Devices

You can watch ESPN+ through the ESPN app, through a multitude of devices including any iOS devices, FireTV, Fire Tablet, Android TV and Android Tablet, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Oculus Go.
